One interesting element of the education for students in Corona Del Mar is that Corona Del Mar High School provides instruction for more than the traditional 9th through 12th grades of high school. The school also covers the 7th and 8th grade, which are normally covered at a middle school. This is very convenient for families with children of the ages that would attend both high school and middle school.
Other middle students may attend Horace Ensign Middle School in greater Newport Beach. The elementary school options for younger children in Corona Del Mar are likewise of high quality. Abraham Lincoln Elementary, Everett A. Rea Elementary, and Harbor View Elementary are located in Corona Del Mar, while Newport Elementary, Ray O. Andersen Elementary, Newport Heights Elementary, Newport Coast Elementary, East Bluff Elementary, and Mariners Elementary are located in Newport Beach. Preschools are also a part of the NMUSC, and cater to the needs of the pre-K children in Corona Del Mar.
In addition to all of these public options, there are a variety of private schools in the area available for children from pre-K through the high school years. These vary from religious programs to private schools such as Montessori programs, and there is truly something to meet the needs of almost any family from an educational standpoint.

There are a variety of exciting events held regularly in the Corona Del Mar area, including Laguna Beach's Pageant of the Masters, Dana Point's annual Festival of the Tall Ships, and the frequent surfing competitions held in nearby Huntington Beach.
