Why Fall 2021 is the Time to Sell

If you are still unsure whether to sell your home, Fall 2021 is the time.  We are still in a seller's market.  But that time will come to an end sooner than later.  Here are a few reasons to make that move and sell your home.

#1 Your Home Should Sell Quickly

According to the National Association of Realtors (N.A.R.) Realtor's Confidence Index survey, the average home sells in 17 days!  Buyers are looking to move fast so they don't lose out to other buyers.

#2 There Will Be Multiple Offers From Buyers

Besides your home selling quickly, your home most likely will receive multiple offers.  In that same survey, most homes receive 4.5 offers.  Here is a graph showing a comparison over the last 4 summers of offers received.

Many sellers encounter a bidding war for their homes.  Sellers have options and can get their asking price or even above their asking price.

3. When the Supply is Low, Your Home Gets Attention

Inventory is still low entering the last quarter of 2021, but that will change.  If you sell your home when inventory is low, you have a better chance to sell quickly. This will not be the case when inventory increases.

4. If You Are Thinking of Upgrading, Now is The Time

You've been in your current home for a while and your needs have changed.  You have amassed a good chunk of equity.  Combine that with record-low interest rates, this is the perfect time to upgrade.

Experts forecast interest rates will rise. In their forecast, Freddie Mac says:

“While we forecast rates to increase gradually later in the year, we don’t expect to see a rapid increase. At the end of the year, we forecast 30-year rates will be around 3.4%, rising to 3.8% by the fourth quarter of 2022.”

Higher interest rates mean your mortgage payment will be higher.

Bottom Line:

The time is now to sell.  Low inventory, low-interest rates for mortgages, and driven buyers create an amazing opportunity to sell your home fast.  The Aaronson Group is here to meet your needs for selling your home and buying a new home.  Contact us at 949-388-5194 or email info@previewochomes.com
