Where Can You Go for Fun and Free Art Activities in Orange County?

Orange County is one of those places you can live and find a ton of free things to enjoy. Art activities are one area that you’re going to find plenty of great free activities that all ages can enjoy. From downtown art walks to free admission to art museums, just knowing where and when to find these free art activities is all you need to do. Here is how to get your art fix for cheap or free and enjoy paintings, sculptures, jewelry, performances and more around the OC.

Bowers Museum – 2002 Main Street, Santa Ana

Head over to the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana on the first Sunday of every month. They feature free admission into the museum and add special family events to help you explore different cultures around the world. You’ll get to see the museum’s more than 100,000 objects from around the world while you’re there. It’s also exciting to step foot into a museum that was built back in 1936.

Downtown Fullerton Art Walk – 223 West Santa Fe Avenue, Fullerton

If an art walk is more your style, try the downtown Fullerton Art Walk on the first Friday of each month. It’s a free event featuring local art, live music and performing arts. It takes place from 6pm-10pm where you’ll peruse through participating art galleries in East of Harbor North of Commonwealth, West of Harbor North of Commonwealth and West of Harbor South of Commonwealth.

Downtown Huntington Beach Art Walk – 200 Main Street, Huntington Beach

Check out the Downtown Huntington Beach Art Walk on the third Thursday of each month. It lasts from 6pm-9pm and is located right in the heart and soul of surf city’s downtown area. The art walk is your chance to learn about the area’s surf culture, history and more. You’ll see all types of artists and student artists with area restaurants and stores participating.

In addition, be sure to check out the Orange County Museum of Art in Newport Beach on Fridays from 11am to 8pm and the Laguna Beach Art Walk on the first Thursday of each month from 6pm to 9pm.
