This area consists of upscale neighborhoods, mid-level neighborhoods and condominiums.

About Huntington Beach

Huntington Beach is known for its long 9.5 mile stretch of beach. It’s also known for an excellent climate and impressive beach life. This seaside city is in the Southern part of California and is home to about 190,000 residents.

Schools

Residents in this neighborhood send their students to schools in the Huntington Beach Union High School District. The district includes:

  • Huntington Beach High School
  • Fountain Valley High School
  • Westminster High School

The city is also home to Golden West College, a two year college for associate’s degrees in the arts, which can be transferred to a four year university.

Tourism & Recreation

Huntington Beach is home to plenty of beaches, parks and tourist attractions. There’s plenty of shopping, the International Surfing Museum and an art center located downtown.

In addition, the area is home to the former Gold Bear, a restaurant turned nightclub that was played in by BB King, Janis Joplin, and the Ramones. The Surf Theatre is also in Huntington Beach. It’s a theatre offering independent films. The Huntington Beach Public Library is another popular stop in Central Park.

Huntington Beach SurfingThe beach in this town is the place to be in the summer. Between surfing competitions and volleyball tours, there’s always something going on at the beach.

Huntington Beach has hosted biathlons, Fourth of July parades, Cruise of Lights Boat Tours and many other events. The beach is not only the location for world surfing championships, but also known as “Surf City” and the “Surfing Capital of the World” for its consistent quality of surf.

Huntington Central Park can also be found in Huntington Beach. This is a huge park vegetated by plants and native wildlife. Here you can also find the Huntington Central Park Equestrian Center and the Bolsa Chica Wetlands.

Huntington Beach is a beautiful city full of many great areas to live, plenty of outdoor recreation and friendly people enjoying the sun on a daily basis.
