The campground is also popular and is just across the street. Crystal Cove is located right off of the Coast Highway.

San Onofre State Beach
is the favorite for those in the surfing scene. The beach stays clean and is kept up well due to the public’s respect for this beach, plus surfers love it because the water here is smooth and consistent which is great for practicing.

This is not a typical tourist beach, so there are no food stands or rentals here. The only charge is to park which cost $15 a day, but parking is usually full because of the popularity of this beach. The popularity is partly because parking is directly by the sand so once you arrive it’s time to starting surfing.

For huge waves surfers love The Wedge at Newport Beach, and for families that want a great kid-friendly beach, head to Corona Del Mar. Regardless of where you go in Orange County, there are so many beach options that you are sure to have a great time.
