Attraction Spotlight: Sherman Library & Gardens
Sherman Library & Gardens is a retreat in Corona del Mar spanning 2.2 acres. You can enjoy this horticultural retreat containing a museum of living plants, beds blooming with seasonal flowers, patios and conservatories linked with brick walkways and bubbling tile fountains.

Gardens
You’ll find plant life containing collections from all over the globe. You’ll see exotic vegetation from tropical climates and plant life from desert regions. Their museum of living plants features plant life in their natural climate and everything is displayed among fountains and sculptures.
The Rose Garden features blooming plants, the Tropical Conservatory features orchids and gingers from the Pacific Islands and the Herb Garden features chocolate and orange-mint.
Library
The library offers materials that pertain to the history of the Pacific Southwest. The exhibit room has changing displays but features a look at their Pacific Southwest heritage. This region including California, portions of Nevada and Arizona has transformed over the last 100 years and this library intends to be a research library rather than a circulating library to study this heritage.
Private Events
Sherman Library & Gardens is a popular choice for private events. It’s the perfect location for weddings and other special occasion offering a Tea Garden Patio, a Central Patio Room and being surrounded by foliage of all kinds.
Café Jardin
Café Jardin feature coastal garden cuisine with fresh produce and beautiful views of the flower gardens. Enjoy lunch all week and Sunday brunch.
Special Events & Classes
Throughout the year you can enjoy classes and special events at Sherman. Coming this holiday season is “Holiday Basket for Children” where kids can create a holiday basket and “Holiday Dinner – Nights of a Thousand Lights” featuring holiday dinner among light displays.
